Sustainability at the Katamon Gate
The project meets the 4-star green building standard (according to Israeli Standard 5281), which attests to its strict adherence to green standards. Through innovative technologies and stringent green standards, the project seamlessly combines sustainability and innovation. The focus on efficient design, energy conservation, maximum utilization of resources and green materials, high accessibility, and community connectivity ensures an uncompromising quality of life for residents. This meticulous attention to sustainability and environmental considerations has resulted in a project featuring high-quality buildings that benefit both their immediate surroundings and their residents.
Together, these elements constitute a first-rate green building project that addresses numerous sustainability aspects. In addition, the project boasts an A energy rating (according to Israeli Standard 5282). This rating reflects the project’s strong commitment to reducing emissions and air pollution, through the use of advanced materials and technologies that lower energy consumption within the buildings" interior spaces and ultimately benefit the environment. The high energy rating ensures energy cost savings for residents and maintains their quality of life.
What is green building?
Green building is an approach to the design, construction, and operation of buildings that aims to minimize the negative environmental impact of construction and improve energy efficiency, resource use, and the health of occupants. Green building focuses on reducing air pollution, minimizing waste, conserving water and energy, and using renewable and sustainable materials. Tadhar is committed to the principles of green building and real estate that benefits its surroundings—real estate that is resource-efficient and sustainable. This is real estate that creates a healthy and optimal living environment for its customers, where they can thrive over the long term.
Well Living by TIDHAR
The WELL LIVING scoring method, developed by Tidhar Group, is a system for evaluating projects based on sustainability and quality of life criteria. The method is designed to ensure that Tidhar Group's projects meet high standards of sustainability and quality of life, taking into account the health of residents, environmental quality, and excellence in Israeli green and environmental standards. The more points a project receives across all criteria, the more excellent it is considered. The method combines several key criteria, each of which is scored according to the number of sustainability functions implemented in each project. The criteria include green building and environmental indicators, energy rating, community, health, environmental quality, and energy. Each criterion is scored based on the number of functions implemented in the project.
Energy rating (structural average)
The energy rating is the average score a building receives based on its energy efficiency. The score on the energy scale ranges from the lowest grade F to the highest grade A+.
In a building with a high energy rating, tenants will enjoy a more comfortable thermal environment, which affects energy consumption and helps save on electricity costs.
Green building stars
Israeli Standard for Green Building (SI 5281) is a standard whose purpose is to promote more environmentally friendly and healthier construction. The standard encourages resource conservation, including electricity and water consumption, promotes waste recycling, and improves living conditions in the building for all residents. Buildings are graded on a scale of 1 to 5 stars according to the standard.
The base level in the Israeli standard for green building is one star. At Tidhar, we strive for excellence in planning and execution processes in accordance with the green standard and to go far beyond the mandatory regulations. This excellence will result in a green and advanced building in the form of 4 stars for green building.
